Microsoft FrontPage
Server
Extensions
is an additional
module which can
be setup on a
customer’s
account which
essentially
allows for a
website to be
published to the
server using
Microsoft’s FrontPage web
authoring
package. The
Cobalt RaQ
servers
currently
only support FrontPage Server
Extensions 2000.
We can upgrade
your RaQ to
enable it to
support
Frontpage Server
Extensions 2002.
While
FrontPage
Server
Extensions
are not
essential in
order to host
FrontPage-based
Web sites, they
do extend
FrontPage-based
Web sites with
functionality
like multi-user
and remote
authoring
support, search,
forms
capabilities,
and usage
analysis.
FrontPage Server
Extensions
gives the
virtual site
admin the
ability to use
some special
components, or
"Web Bots", to
include
additional
functionality in
their site -
such as guest
counters and
mail forms.
Please note
that this
installation
includes:
- Upgrade
Apache to
version
1.3.33
- Upgrade
MySQL to
version
4.1.7
- Upgrade
PHP to
version
5.0.2
- Install
PHMyAdmin
2.6.0pl3
This new
version of
Apache also
fixes the
Apache Zombies
problem!
